AAU High School Elite Boys Program

AFA Basketball has now added AAU Basketball to our growing program. This program will be available for high school players 9th-12th grade who are serious about improving their skills and gaining valuable on court experience to play at the next level. The goal of our program is to provide small town area players an opportunity to play at the next level. View below for more information.

AAU Details/Requirements

Teams – Our high school AAU Elite Program will consist of one team of 9th-12th grade boys. The selection process will be determined by AFA Coaching staff to make our teams the most competitive for tournament play and to allow valuable experiences to have the maximum chance of being recruited to colleges. Players will go through a skills tryout on the court, followed by an off the court basketball I.Q questionnaire. Parents will be notified via email of the placement of their athletes in our program.

Practices – Our practices will be customized skill specific training that will better equip players to play collegiate or Juco college basketball.  Players will be required to attend all practice sessions in order to participate in games/ tournaments. Practices will be a mandatory of 1X per week. We will have extra "optional" practices during the week that will gear towards having more opportunities to play 5 on 5 full court games with teammates and develop chemistry. Times will be announced via email.

Tournaments –AFA Basketball AAU athletes will attend 9 tournaments during the year. We have selected the highest ranked tournaments in the state of Washington, Idaho and Oregon to showcase our athletes in front of collegiate scouts.

Requirements: Each player must have some high school playing experience and willing to commit towards the season by soley focusing on their skills and play on the court for practices and tournaments. There will be no late or midseason additions to any team. Please note that we cannot accept every player, though we do encourage those who have interest to come to the tryout and give their best effort.
