Head AFA Basketball Trainer: Mario Adams


Coach Adams comes from Northern California (Bay Area) under the coaching tree of Hall of Fame California Coach Frank Allocco.

He played 4 years of competitive high school basketball at powerhouse “De La Salle” in concord CA where he won a state
championship in 2006 while his team was ranked 3rd in the United States with a record of 32-1. He received a scholarship to play collegiate basketball at William Jessup University (NAIA). He began his coaching career in the summer of 2006 where
he found his passion for coaching kids at the “Excel in Basketball” camps.

Coach Adams has helped coach many camps in California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. He has numerous experience coaching youth basketball at all levels, including AAU programs such as the "Advanced Skills Basketball Academy" for boys in Walnut Creek, California from 2008-2010  and the "Ultimate Girls" AAU Basketball program in Pleasant Hill, California in 2011.

In 2015 Coach Mario was the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Lake Roosevelt High School in Grand Coulee, Washington while also coaching at the NBC Basketball Camp in Newberg, Oregon in the off season.

Coach Adams was inducted into the De La Salle Athletic Hall of Fame class in 2020 and he currently coaches the boys’ basketball team at Moscow High School.
He has a bachelor’s degree in history and the WIAA Coaching Certificate 2018.

Assistant Boys Group Training Coach: Jeremy Bogle

Coach Jeremy Bogle was a 1st team 2A all-state player his senior year in high school. After that, he played two years at Big Bend Community College and was elected an NWACC all-star his sophomore year. He signed to a D2 school following his junior college year.

Coach Jeremy was the head assistant/JV basketball coach at Colfax for 7 seasons. While there, the varsity team went to state 6 straight years, finishing first one season and second the year after. He also has experience coaching youth football and basketball in Pullman WA.

Assistant 1 on 1/AAU Coach: Sam Kees

Sam Kees has been with AFA Basketball since it began in September of 2021. Sam was a fantastic player at Moscow High School with tremendous shooting range and competitive drive. He earned a spot to become a practice player for Oregon State University with hopes of walking on the team. Sam has helped AFA Basketball with 1 on 1 training/ Group Training and our Summer Basketball Camps. He is the type of person that brings great energy to all our training sessions, and we are lucky to have him on our staff!

Head Girls Basketball Group Coach: Sara Cochran

AFA is excited to have Sara Cochran push and inspire our girls group clients! 
Sara is a native of Spokane, WA and is currently employed at Washington State University as an equipment manager for the athletic department. She has a bachelor's degree in sport management and with over 20 years of experience working with NCAA division one athletes from the University of Oregon, University of Idaho and Washinton State University.
Sara has a long history and passion for the game of basketball and started her career as the assistant women's basketball coach at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA.
We are excited and thrilled to have her join our staff and we are look forward to having her expertise and personality to add to the culture of our girl's program!

Assistant Girls Basketball Group Coach: Matias Redondo

AFA is proud to have Matias Redondo take part in the development of the girls group program.
Matias is a former player on the France National Basketball Team with 6 years' experience playing Semi-Professionally! He has coached the U.S.L U17 youth team while completing his youth coach's diploma for the French Federation. Matias is currently studying International Studies at the University of Idaho and is excited to continue coaching with our program!

Camps and Clinics Coach: Mark Stolle

Coach Mark comes to AFA Basketball from Washington State University where he was a Strength & Conditioning Intern.

He graduated with a B.S in Kinesiology in 2008.
In August 2008-September 2009 he was hired as the WSU Recreation Centers
“Challenge Course Facilitator”, where he planned and implemented different challenge course activities for groups of eight or more people.

He was able to lead discussion after each activity while making sure group and individual goals were set. He also helped Implemented exercises to football and basketball athletes at Washington State University.

While at WSU, Mark learned how to observe athletes for proper form during each exercise and gave feedback while also assisting in stretching athletes before and after each session.

In January 2010 he became a P.E. Teacher at Royal Garrison School where he helped develop and implement physical education lesson plans for students K-12 and graded students based off attendance. His motivation each day was to get help students make improvements on their fitness scores. He strived to mentor students to stay physically active throughout the day.

His coaching experience began in June 2006 where he helped coach the Skyhawks Sports Camp in Spokane WA. He coached a group of 20 students daily and taught sportsmanship with basic basketball and football fundamentals to 4th-6th grade students.
